Located on the Cote D’Azur between Cannes and Nice, Antibes boasts a spectacular 25km of coastline and the perfect weather to enjoy it, with an average summer temperature of around 27 degrees Celsius. The town was originally founded by the Greeks over 200 years ago, but was destroyed after the break-up of the Roman Empire in the 5th Century. The fortified walls still in existence around the city are clear evidence of this tumultuous history.
To this day, the coastline is at the centre of the town, with many yachting harbours including Port Vauban, the largest yachting harbour in Europe. This is a great place to spot both luxury yachts as well as provincial fishing boats. A popular holiday destination, Antibes is located close to Nice Airport, and the Campanile Antibes-Juan les Pins Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore the region.
